Glad to finally catch up with all of you. I was a member of the previous (and now defunct) biplane forum. I live in southwest Michigan, 54 years old, still own my 'Bolt, N200PM, now 31 years old. It hasn't flown for about two years due to thequestionable health of the engine. Last soap sample showed tremendous increase in copper content. Most knowledgeable engine gurus figure the cam lobes are flaking. But it is 30 years/450hours since factory new. Hours are ok, calendar is way past due. Since I won't hock the house to go bore holes in the sky, it's gonna be a little while before I can fly it again. I miss it, but that's life. So my bit of nostalgic advice to those of you who are in the midst of building, or still have a flying bipe: Enjoy it! The journey and the experiences will give you lots of memories. I'm glad I have mine!
