I may have some slop in one of my aileron hinge rod ends. Has anyone had to remove the aileron hinge mounting bracket, then remove and replace the rod ends once off the aircraft? It looks like the upper and lower left side was already changed out since there is small pieces of tape covering the slots cut into the fabric I'm assuming to access the head of the mounting bolt. The one in question is the lower right inboard hinge rod end but once started I will change them all. Any tips would be appreciated. I have concerns over being able to drill out and re-rivet the rod end without enlarging the original holes? Mr. Rose passed on some tips but it anyone has had to do this any additional information would be appreciated.
