I am getting ready to build the frame for the canopy I am adding to my Starduster Too and have a question about tubing to use. I am planning two support hoops attached to the acrylic (front and back) plus two lower hoops for additional structure strength across the deck between the cockpits. I am planning to use 4130 1/2 by .035 tubing. They will be welded to similar square tubing along the base of the canopy. The canopy will slide back on rails about 6" then hinge up to the right.
The question is, "does that tubing size and wall thickness seem sufficient?"
I had the canopy bubble custom made by Airplane Plastics.
Thanks,
Bob
