After reading Budd Davisson's pilot report of a high powered SD Too he advised the ailerons were heavy and needed to hands to roll the biplane.
Is this a common flight chararistic of all SD Toos? If so why after all the years flying someone has not made improvements in them. The ones that I have seen have huge gaps. Such a beautiful Biplane if not the best.
Also I noticed the the bottom wing is 4 feet shorter than the top. Has anyone made the bottoms wings longer to get better slow end performance, stall speed etc.
If these are dumb or stupid question please delete.
