Hello all, looking for a little help/advice concerning the canopy on an S2E that I recently purchased. It has a chip in the plexiglass on the right side of the canopy, abeam the middle of the front cockpit seat. It looks as though their is a metal piece just behind the chip plexiglass, that is rusted. Looking to see what you guys think the most prudent action is to fix it? If the canopy is removed, is this something that can be fixed? I included a picture taken from about 3 inches away so it is very hi definition. The spot is about the size of a nickel and is not very noticeable when walking around the plane.

Knowing the S2 canopies have had issues, I don't want to have anything else that could better the chances of it departing the plane unexpectedly. Thanks for the help!
