• The Biplane Forum is a large global active community of biplane builders, owners and pilots. From Pitts to Skybolts, to older barnstormers, all types are welcome. In addition to our active community, our content boasts exhaustive technical information which is often sought after for projects and maintenance. This information has accumulated over the 12+ years the forum has been in existence.

The Biplane Forum is a private community. Subscriptions are only $49.99/year or $6.99/month to gain access to this great community and unmatched source of information not found anywhere else on the web. We are also a great resource for non biplane users, since many GA aircraft are built the same way (fabric and tube construction).

My biplane brothers. I have reached a point where I would rather be flying than building so I bought a Clip Wing Cub and I am selling both my Skybolt projects.

Project 1) A previously flying IO-540 Skybolt, N559P, that has been repaired and recovered. Hartzell C2YK, Lightspeed, Christen inverted oil, EIS monitor, Hooker harnesses, Steen tail wheel, baxter quadrants, many new parts, and all parts and bolts needed to assemble. Fuselage and tail feathers primed, wings need primed. Needs paint and assembly to be a flying experimental aircraft. $25000

Project 2) An original plans Skybolt with all the welded parts and a beautiful set of stick built three hinge lower wings and flying wires. $7500

I will consider separating the airframes, wings, and engine/prop.
