While replacing fairings today after my annual inspection, I noticed that the the forward bushing on the gear fitting - where the bolt goes through, looks as if the weld has completely broke away from the bushing rod. The weld is good on the plate of the fitting, but the rod looks like it was never attached, as the weld has lifted off the rod completely and cleanly through the entire circumference. I changed the bungees and gear bolts a couple seasons ago, and didn't notice it before. The airplane has not experienced a hard landing while I owned it. (not bragging just saying).
I didn't have a picture devise present, but will send one as soon as I can. Do you think that this is cause for not flying until rectified? I have no clue how long its been like that.
Thanks
