    Why become a Subscribing Member?

    • In addition to our active community, our content boasts exhaustive technical information which is often sought after for projects and maintenance. This information has accumulated over the 12+ years the forum has been in existence.
    • We are also a great resource for non biplane users, since many GA aircraft are built the same way (fabric and tube construction).
    • Annual membership also comes with two BiplaneForum.com decals.

So, after two years of lost emails, fried hard drives (on their part, not mine) and general persistence, Canadian Aviator magazine published a story I wrote about bringing my Smith home to Rockcliffe along the same route my dad used to bring his Smith home in 1981.
If you follow the blog, the article isn't anything new (it's a rewrite of a pair of posts from last year), but seeing it in glossy print with pictures is really impressive. It's really nice to see publications give these old biplanes such nice treatment.
So, if you're in Canada, you should be able to find a copy at Chapters Indigo, Loblaws, Wal-Mart, Shoppers or any place magazines are sold. If not, you can read the online version here (starts on page 32):

A former colleague of mine, Peter Szperling, too the title shot and my friend Ernie Szelepcsenyi took the air to airs.
Enjoy!
