• The Biplane Forum is a large global active community of biplane builders, owners and pilots. From Pitts to Skybolts, to older barnstormers, all types are welcome. In addition to our active community, our content boasts exhaustive technical information which is often sought after for projects and maintenance. This information has accumulated over the 12+ years the forum has been in existence.

The Biplane Forum is a private community. Subscriptions are only $49.99/year or $6.99/month to gain access to this great community and unmatched source of information not found anywhere else on the web. We are also a great resource for non biplane users, since many GA aircraft are built the same way (fabric and tube construction). Annual membership also comes with two BiplaneForum.com decals.

Hey guys.

My family is considering moving to a fly-in community. We live in Ohio and are strongly considering moving South. We have recently looked at some homes and property in NC but aren't sold yet.

We've done some homework but maybe there is something out there you'd suggest looking at.

Do you know of a place that.....

Has a community that includes children and familes, my kids are 3 and 5.

Has social gathering regularly, fly-ins, holiday parties, bbqs, etc.

Is close to conveniences like shopping, theater, grocery, etc

has a solidly performing school district

Is within an hour of a major airport, i commute for a flying job.

has reasonable taxes

has amenities like playground, community pool, boat slips, on field EAA, ?

Thanks for any suggestions. We have a couple of places we are considering visiting but would like to hear from anyone with first hand experience from any of the fly-in communities.
