• The Biplane Forum is a large global active community of biplane builders, owners and pilots. From Pitts to Skybolts, to older barnstormers, all types are welcome. In addition to our active community, our content boasts exhaustive technical information which is often sought after for projects and maintenance. This information has accumulated over the 12+ years the forum has been in existence.

The Biplane Forum is a private community. Subscriptions are only $49.99/year or $6.99/month to gain access to this great community and unmatched source of information not found anywhere else on the web. We are also a great resource for non biplane users, since many GA aircraft are built the same way (fabric and tube construction). Annual membership also comes with two BiplaneForum.com decals.

I would like to thank Randy Echtinaw for inviting me to participate here on this forum. My name is Jason Gerard and I am a tech-rep for Stewart Systems. I teach their covering classes, help with R&D, and sales support. I am here to help share what I know about covering systems and learn from others as well. I grew up around tube and fabric airplanes and have prior experience with dope and poly fiber products. Since I have been involved with SS I have found that the only people that have something bad to say about the products are those that have not used it, or those that did not follow the directions when using it. Doug and Dan Stewart have been using this product (formerly know as Aircraft Finishing Systems) for over 10 years now and it's been around for over 15 years. When it comes to diagnosing a problem when using our products you get honest answers because it's very unlikely that you would come across a problem that we have not already faced ourselves.

I am looking forward to learning a lot from this forum. There appears to be quite a lot of useful information here.

Thanks Randy for the invite-
Jason
