UPDATE: I just spoke with David Stone at Steen (real nice guy) He said that the 3-piece upper wing is now all done in a CAD version with all fittings etc. I told him I already purchased the R drawings for 65 back in 2005 and now they are 100 so could I get a discount. He said yes... all I would need to pay is 35. BEAUTIFUL !
Also, a little about the R version Skybolt. Two guys in Austrailia are just about finished with the "prototype". Should be finished sometime in 2007, they're hoping. Steen will come up with CAD drawings based off of their experience with building the R and any problem areas that they encountered.
I'm ordering the new 3-piece wing CAD drawings right NOW !

I'm going to work through building the "R" fuselage with the supplemental R drawings I purchased from Steen (which, by the way, aren't available now for some reason.) (correction... I just went to Steen's site and they are available again)
It calls outfor the 3-piece wing which has a Douglas Fir front spar instead of a spruce spar. I see where Scottly has worked through building the 3-piece wing by talking with the folks on a 14 site. Scottly also said that he couldn't find any fir stock for the spar which allows for the higher gross weight.
What I'm getting at is.... can the "older" one piece wing be used on the Radial version Skybolt ?
Maybe there isn't a real answer to this.
