Wondering if anybody has installed a vacuum venturi on a plane that like many biplanes (at least my Hatz and Starduster) has the cowl wider than the fuselage to form the air exit?
I have an old turn & bank instrument and venturi that were on my Fisher when I got it... I took them out because the Fisher's mighty 55mph airspeed wasn't enough to generate sufficient vacuum; also, it had been mounted on the bottom of the fuselage where it got all grimy.
Anyway, the normal place for the venturi is on the fuselage side forward of the cockpit, but I'm wondering if there will be sufficient airflow behind the cowling air exit?
I probably wouldn't bother if I didn't already have them, though having one in my T-Craft did save my butt once long ago, and there is an empty space in my panel where it would fit.
