Folks- I am an Army Major serving in Iraq, who while back on leave have been looking at Biplanes. Have a crack at a solidSuper Baby Lakes, but more interestingly, a Witchawk though the Blanton Family. Going to Kansas to examine two of them, with a Vietnam era family friend who is rotary and fixed wing pilot. Also looked at acro dusters, PITTS etc...
I am a 90 hour pilot, who wants to reintegrate with my son following almost two years now in combat in Iraq. My entire family are pilots. Moving to San Antonio, where landings are easy and weather cooperative
What do we know about these Wichawks? They seem like a good design being dual, acrobatic and powered by an L-19 engine and 24 volt system. Ideas, comments?
