OK, here's a wierd one. I need to know approximately how fast the wind is blowing behind a propellor driven airplane, understanding it depemnds on the size of the blade and RPM and pitch. I will be using my Archer with an o-360 and a Sensenich prop (Still too cold to sit in the Acrosport) Trying to help a friend sell a whole of signs but he needs to prove that they will hold up in the wind and would like to see 60 mph. I am relatively certain I can generate that, but wondered if anybody had any scientific information. I'm more interested in how fast the thing can pull me, but this one has me stumped on how to measure the velocity. Ideas anyone?
