Acro II Project for Sale

After a very long time, I’ve finally decided to sell my ACRO
Sport II project. The link below will
take you to pictures of the project. The
fuselage is TIG welded, and all fittings are precision machine shop made. All materials were purchased from Wag Aero
material kits, and my asking price is less than the material kits alone. Level
of completion is as seen in the photos.
The steel parts have light corrosion (like any project that has been
around for many years) that removes easily with fine scotch bright pad (or very
light sand blast), and leaves no pitting or marks. The truss rods shown in the wings are not
aircraft grade and were installed for assembly only. Everything in the pictures is offered and
includes;

Fuselage w/ sticks

Most (or all) metal fittings

Elevator control linkage

Pedals

Wings (5 sections)

Leading edges, trailing edges, and aileron bay sheet metal

Ailerons

Rudder, Elevators, Horizontal Stab.

Wing tips

Strut material (stream lined 4130)

Landing Gear material and axles

Balance of wood from complete wood kit

Misc 4130 tubing, plate, etc.

Hardware for Wing assembly

Asking price is $6,800.
If you are interested, you can see the project, or I can send as many
pictures as you would like.

Thank you,

Sam

The cost of renting or borrowing a trailer to pick it up will be fairly small in the overall cost of building the plane. A perfect solution would be a friend who has a big enclosed snowmobile trailer. A van (for the wood stuff) with a flat bed snowmobile trailer behind for the fuse. will get the job done. UHaul or similar will work nicely.

This project has now moved on to a very capable builder! Hopefully it will be flying soon, so is no longer available.
