Hi guys,

Just fitting up the steel tubes that go in the leading edge (for mass balancing weight) for a set of Raven ailerons I am building.

It is 4130N 0.035" wall thickness tube which is bonded/glued into a recess in the leading edge of the aileron.

Just wondered whether I should paint the tube prior to bonding it in? Just concerned about potential corrosion later down the track.
It may not be a concern given that it will be essentially covered in epoxy when embedded and then clear coated over with the associated fabric and paint over that but just wanted opinions.

Cheers.
