Gents,

Would like to get some input on the issue of alternate filtered air. I have RSA-10 Injector/Throttle Body, and I am fitting an intake tube through the nose bowl. I see many acro and non-acro planes using an inlet without filtering the air at all and I have seen some that have alternate air so that it can be filtered on the ground and unfiltered when performance is called for. I assume that because so many go the unflitered route, that the danger for engine damage is nil, but I can still imagine a bird going head first and lodging in the inlet. Any thoughts, experiences?
Thanks
Dave
