Someday I am going to post something useful in return for all the advice I have solicited here.
(But not today)
N127A has a very nicely made aluminum seat, the back of which is concave and has a piano hinge to allow access to the battery. Even though it is smooth and with no snags I have noticed that it is starting to wear away the envelope material of my Softie backpack chute. Most of the erosion is at the center of the pack and at the worst spot you can see where-given another year-the housing for the D-ring cable will eat completely through. The obvious solution would be a cushion but I need every millimeter of room and I hate having to fight with loose stuff as I try to buckle into such a small cockpit.
Any suggestions?
