• The Biplane Forum is a large global active community of biplane builders, owners and pilots. From Pitts to Skybolts, to older barnstormers, all types are welcome. In addition to our active community, our content boasts exhaustive technical information which is often sought after for projects and maintenance. This information has accumulated over the 12+ years the forum has been in existence.

The Biplane Forum is a private community. Subscriptions are only $49.99/year or $6.99/month to gain access to this great community and unmatched source of information not found anywhere else on the web. We are also a great resource for non biplane users, since many GA aircraft are built the same way (fabric and tube construction). Annual membership also comes with two BiplaneForum.com decals.

Rhonda Barrett-Bewley received my engine kit from Superior after I sold the intended airframe (Wolf Pro 360).

This is a front-governor parallel valve boutique engine build EXACTLY the same spec as the one that was maroon on display last year going to Kevin Smith for his WP-360 build.

Barrett sells build slots and this saves you about 80% of the waiting time if you want to take over my "slot".

Parallel Head 180 hp engine

Front Governor Drive
Your choice of DF1/DF2 engine mount (90% sure you need DF1)
Forward Facing Superior cold air system (I have not been successful in reaching Kevin at SkyDynamics, but I did talk to another engine shop he used to do a lot of work with who says he has dropped off the face of the earth.
FM150 Fuel injection system with Airflow Performance nozzles
9:1 compression pistons
Dual P-mags with auto harness, plugs and adapters
Lightweight Skytec 149-NL starter
Monkworks gear driven alternator
B&C 90 degree oil filter adapter

Engine with new Titan, non-counterweighted crankshaft as spec’d in our phone conversation $53,255
Engine with overhauled, counterweighted crankshaft and counterweights as spec’d in our phone conversation $55,705
B&C Vac 2-4 $ 215
Additional Options:
PCU 5000 Prop Governor $ 1,925
Fuel Pump Shroud $ 85
Decorative Chrome rocker box covers

The kit has been on their shelf since late October this year, paused as I went a different airframe direction. They build about 4 of these combos a year and if you want one, here's a chance to get it built right away and have full warranty from Barrett (2.5 years, 400 hours)

This, for example, is the sort of engine you'd have on the front of a Giles G200 or something where you don't have a lot of room in the rear of the engine for the governor. It's more expensive due to the front-governor setup being rather rare for a parallel valve.

Call Rhonda (918) 835-1089 and let me know.

Cheers,

Brooks
