Hi all,
My first project post so please bear with me, this is my second homebuilt but first for this kind of woodwork so I may ask some dumb questions!
I am building a set of Pitts wings. I made my first rib over the past couple of days. Looks like I have a crack in the capstrip, at the bend, right where I tacked through the gusset... The crack looks to be from the tack up as there is no crack evident when I look at the underside of the capstrip in between the gussets.
Should I scrap and mount it on the wall of my shop or repair? If the latter, should I scarf repair per AC43.13?
Thanks in advance.
Cheers
