I am in the process of picking up a fisher celebrity that was operated with an O-200 and a metal prop. The builder, an acomplished craftsman, was afraid to fly it because in cruise and trimmed it flew hands-off with the tail low. I have not yet seen the W&B but with the heavy powerplant, I would doubt that it was way aft.
assuming that the W&B check out, what is the thought from the forum on the cause? I have been thinking that the incidence of the wings might be off...and then the HS would be off...
Also, I have heard that the wing stagger is determined by the weight of the powerplant selection. If that is the case and I install a considerably lighter powerplant,am I looking at new cabanes, interplane struts, wires, and aileron struts? Is that all?
All ideas welcomed.
