• The Biplane Forum is a large global active community of biplane builders, owners and pilots. From Pitts to Skybolts, to older barnstormers, all types are welcome. In addition to our active community, our content boasts exhaustive technical information which is often sought after for projects and maintenance. This information has accumulated over the 12+ years the forum has been in existence.

The Biplane Forum is a private community. Subscriptions are only $49.99/year or $6.99/month to gain access to this great community and unmatched source of information not found anywhere else on the web. We are also a great resource for non biplane users, since many GA aircraft are built the same way (fabric and tube construction). Annual membership also comes with two BiplaneForum.com decals.

I made an SVG (vector graphics file) of the Charger using Inkscape, a free vector graphics editor. I did this by tracing Ed's 3 view drawings. The actual SVG file is 3.2mb so maybe too big to post here. Attached is a screenshot of the result.

Struts, wings, wires, fuselage, and windscreens are all in layers that are ordered to provide correct visibility from the given perspective. In other words, from the side the interplane struts block out the cabane struts, wires, and fuselage. You can turn off layers using the layer menu to get a clean view of the fuselage. If you want to see how well I did tracing Ed's drawings, you can turn on the bitmap and turn off the fill. So it's a pretty flexible way to look at possible paint schemes or do whatever. Anyway, here's a screenshot. If you want the file, just let me know.

I don't know why I made the plane yellow:)
