Howdy.

I finally realised that my Garmin 196 was starting to look decidedly antique what with all the new high res colour touchscreen moving map stuff out there. I put it on auction, and got a reasonable price.

So I am back in the market for a new colour GPS - preferably touch screen, preferably high-res, preferably bright-as, and most definitely with a Pacific Map!

True to character, and after my eye-water cown import fees ;-) I've been looking for a cheapie on the market... three have presented themselves - the AnywhereMap ATC, Lowrance 2000c and the Bendix AV80R.

These all all around the $700 mark, and roughly equivalent.

Anyone have any working experience with any of them? The Bendix is currently #1 as it clearly has support for the Pacific area.
