Has anyone ever heard of a switch go bad and kill an engine? I spoke to a Pitts instructor the other day that had a switch short out and shut the engine off and he put it down in the river back in the early 2000’s. I have heard them go bad and keep the P leads hot but never the reverse? The Eagle I just finished has the original switch that was 30 Year’s old and I used it. Looked ok, it works fine, just wondering if I should think about a new one becaus something may have changed with the way they are now built? Thanks
