I was wondering how well, or bad that aluminum would react to powder coating processes. I searched this forum and found several statements to the effect that the 400 degree oven paint curing process will adversely affect its material properties. So, I did some more web searches and I found a really nice article where they actually tested the affects of powder coat on three different aluminum alloys. The results are encouraging enough to where I think I will try it on a few non critical or some scrap aluminum parts just to see how well it goes. I'm still concerned about thin parts warping with the heat.
