FAA Aircraft Type for EXP S1S for ATC?

I might be flying through some controlled airspace in Miami this weekend.

1. Is the FAA type for a Pitts S1S = PTS1/U or since mine is experimental should I use HXB/U?

2. 91.319 says that on first contact with a tower at a field I have to say "Experimental" ((3) Notify the control tower of the experimental nature of the aircraft when operating the aircraft into or out of airports with operating control towers.)... But I am going to assume I don't need to if I am just flying with VFR flight following with center and flying through class B, or should I just open with "Experimental Pitts NXXX"?
