Headset

Looking to find a headset that the mic does not pick up so much background noise. Right now I am using a Dave Clark with the noise canceling mic but it is not working that well. Have tried bigger mic muffs, Oregon Aero mic muff also, still not very good. Everyone says the Halo works well but none are available for a while.
Any suggestions?
