I have made a couple of flights with the PFX's and they work well. I think the ANR is about the same as the Bose A20. I have sold a bunch of these and have had no complaints.... I sold a couple of guys a headset to try and they returned to buy another.
I think any good ANR will eat through batteries pretty fast in a really high noise environment. I try to push people to buy the Lemo panel power model if they plan to use in their own airplane. You just don't have to ever worry about batteries.
Some people claim the anr with the PFX is way better with extreme noise. It has a 2 step anr, it gets quiet then it will kick in and get even quieter.
