If a Pitts has a engine that is 26 years old with 700 hours or so, never overhauled but with good compressions, would it be a risk buying this airplane? Lycoming says TBO or 12 years recommended. I have talked to several people about it, some say no worries, others say they would be afraid to risk the possible cost of an overhaul.
