I have an O-320 A1A (150hp narrowdeck).

I noticed some blue sepage at the intake port on one of the cylinders. I am going to replace the gasket at each cylinder.

The parts manual says that the intake tube is held on with bolts and washers, however looking at my engine it would appear that studs have been installed here.

Bolts seem to make more sense in this application.

Is there a reason someone might have installed studs in place of the prescribed parts?

Thanks,
Glenn
