I'm struggling some with oil temp on a S1C now. 85 deg day it's going to 220 or so in cruise so I know it's going to get higher doing acro. The oil cooler is located on the left hand cowl inlet on the front baffle, typical of a lot of Pitts installations. What I'm wondering is if there would be any adverse affect on engine cooling if I were to build a "SMALL" scoop over the oil cooler to help direct air thru it better.
I just ordered another cooler to add in the system, I'm just trying to improve the situation.
Thanks,
Mike
