Hello,

I work at a fabrication studio, and we are going to buy and refinish a biplane. I don't know much about these planes, so I am trying to find out as much information as possible about what the refinishing will entail.

We are probably going to buy an EAA biplane, and I can't tell what the finish materials of the plane are. Are the wings covered in fabric and the main body is some sort of metal? If the wings are fabric, is it possible to repaint, or must you recover with a new color material. The plane is currently red and we will be painting it black. If anyone can point me in the direction of where to find these answers I would really appreciate it.

Thanks for your time!
