Good evening,

I may have an opportunity to buy a deregistered Pitts S1S built with Ultimate wings, for parts.
I already have the flying and landing wires for my project so might be willing to sell the ones coming with that aircraft, notably as it seems some builders are having a hard time finding some nowadays.

So two questions :

- for those familiar with the Pitts Ultimate wings, are the landing wires compatible with a standard S1S set up ? (I think I remember them being slightly longer due to zero dihedral on the lower wings no ?)

- how much would the full set be worth (12 wires) ? Admittedly the answer to that question might determine if that project is worth buying or not

Cheers !

The S-1S landing wires are 81-1/8" long. The flying wires are 76-3/8". There are eight 1/4" wires for the wings so do the twelve wires you mention include the tail wires (#10 size)?

Hi Bill,

I sadly haven't seen the aircraft yet, so can't measure them...
12 as the Ultimate wings had one wire attached to every rear spar as well, but the tail wires should be included as well (so 16 in total)
