A friend of mine, Craig Dobesh,won the Advanced category at the Llano Hammerfest in Llano, TXover the weekend in his highly modified Pitts S-1. Second place went to a Sukhoi. Seems Craig hadmonoplane for breakfast! Craig built his airplane and incorporated many high performance mods such as aluminum oversized pressure ailerons, low drag wing fillets and upper and lower aileron wing spades. Notice in the pic, his airplane has the standard bungee gear. I'll post a pic of his airplane. Pitts S-1 is still king in my book!
