I am sure this subject has been covered somewhere before but I am horrible at being able to search and track down previous threads. I have a 79 model Skybolt with Stits fabric and a Dope paint finish. After 41 years it has a few cracks in the finish .. some have lifted enough to see the fabric underneath. The fabric is still in excellent condition, and most of the Dope finish is in great shape as well. I am not even considering a recover job at this point but would really like to take care of some of these paint cracks. Is there any way that I can spot repair those areas and get a decent finished look? I have a brother that is a paint genius and match the paint colors .. I am just unsure if I should attempt it and if I do what is the best process? I don't really like the fabric showing through the cracked paint. Any thoughts and help will be greatly appreciated. :)
