I checked the rigging of my S1-S last week using Doug Sowders article as a guide. My horizontal stab has washout and the left and right sides have different incidence. Dough article says to adjust the stab support bar to remove the twist. My support bar does not have any adjustment. It bolts onto a tab welded to the fuselage and to the leading edge of the stab. I tried loosening and tightening the support wires but have only been able to reduce a tiny amount of the washout.
Do I need to make my struts adjustable to remove the twist or should I live with what I can do with shortening and lengthening the wires?
The left stab at the root has 2.5 degrees nose down incidence 3.4 at the tip, and the right is 1.5 at the root .9 at the tip. Is there anything I can do to even out that difference?
