Anyone have a favorite, small handsaw for cutting cap strip? I'd like to find something that works well on cap strip, from 1/4" square up to 1" square. I've got miles of cap strip to cut for various projects, and I'd like to find a saw that I can use in the home office, with and without a mini miter box.
I like the Japanese pull saws, but most have less than 20 tpi. There are a couple of razor type saws that are up to 52 tpi available too. Any strong reasons to go one direction or the other? I'm not above getting one of each and simply trying to see what works the best. Everything being cut is spruce and I've got a Lion style trimmer to do the final fitting.
