Nope... not a biplane, but fun as all get up.
Went out to central PA this weekend to see what flying in a sailplane was all about. One thing... if you haven't done it... do it. It was a blast !
Denise and I had planned on going up in the same sailplane but that didn't happen. We scheduled to go up separately, one after the other. When it was our turn to go up, one of the pilots said "Why don't we go up and hang out and wait for Denise and Joe (the other pilot.) Maybe do some air-to-air.
Mike and I got pulled up to 2500' AGL and rode thermals until Denise and Joe were pulled up to 2500' AGL. Got some nice photos.
This is me coming out of 3500' ready to do a straffing run on the Yellow Bird.
Flying in formation.
Diving out of 3500' onto Denise in Yellow Bird.
Flying formation.
Zig-zagging back and forth.
