    Hi Simon,

i tightened all Wires simultaniously. It will affect the front wires when you tighten the aft ones.

The wires are fastened at an angle, so they pull against each other.

    Cheers Reinhard

Thanks guys for the support. Last weekend we were able to do the static load test, see pictures attached. At the full 4 tons of weight (equals 8,5 gs) the wings did flex less than 1/2". Simply amazing. Not a single tone from the sturcture.

I went on to salvaging the engine mount. Unfortunately the bushings for the Wittman gear were too big (as per plans 1 1/2x.058 instead of 1 1/2x.063) so I had to redo them. Reamed them to fit but now I'm struggling to align the gear legs. I simply don't have a clue how to set up toe in or toe out. Does anyone have a hint on the setup? How is it done? What values are good?

Thanks Jean-Luc, but how to get the drilling on the tube correct with only having what I have?

Is toe in or out the same whith weight on the wheels and without? Hope so, otherwise it will be even more challenging to set everything up...

If you cant get it straigt, aim for Toe out. Toe in will make Ground handling twitchy.
Normaly Toe in/ Toe out changes with different loads.

And shoot for no in or out at full weight as that is what you will see just as she goes through the transition form tail up to tail down. My opinion only and worth what you paid for it.

Is it much more easier,i think,to bold the sockets to the legs, then tak them to the engine mount...But it seems to late now
