I have a skybolt that first flew in 2002.
It has a flush mounted non vented fuel cap. I is leaking when inverted. I am having trouble finding a replacement gasket. I spoke with steen and was told the tank was probably made while the company was owned by Hale Wallace. He contracted the tank construction out to a now unknown source. They have since changed to the 1/4 turn screw on cap. The gasket is 3 inches in diameter with a 2 inch hole the proceeds down for 1/2 an inch. 1/8 inch rubber. I have checked with most of the usual aviation suppliers with no results.
Would anyone have any ideas for a replacement. I don't really want to change the tank set up for something so seemingly simple.
