• The Biplane Forum is a large global active community of biplane builders, owners and pilots. From Pitts to Skybolts, to older barnstormers, all types are welcome. In addition to our active community, our content boasts exhaustive technical information which is often sought after for projects and maintenance. This information has accumulated over the 12+ years the forum has been in existence.

The Biplane Forum is a private community. Subscriptions are only $49.99/year or $6.99/month to gain access to this great community and unmatched source of information not found anywhere else on the web. We are also a great resource for non biplane users, since many GA aircraft are built the same way (fabric and tube construction). Annual membership also comes with two BiplaneForum.com decals.

Just acquiring a Mini-plane in mid reconstruction. everything but the Fuse. is covered and ready for paint and reassembly, it has a very low time c-85 out of culver with an old fuel injection system. It was flying fine, but had been pulled from service and disassembled for recovering when the PO/builder lost his medical-terminally. another buddy bought it from the estate, recovered everything but the fuse. and then got sidetracked with several other planes and sold it to me.
my buddy and I are finishing up an RV-7 here at his place in TN, where we will also finish the Smith. We'll start on it later this winter/spring. I live in MI and will have it up there most of the year.
I'm very interested in learning more about these planes, any other forums, etc. I've seen some interesting mods and am interested in making some myself to make it more cold weather and cross country friendly.
any advice suggestions or further e-leads would be very appreciated
