Anyone got any pros or cons to offer concerning a Sterba prop for a Hatz CB-1 with the 0-290? I'm thinking a 74/50. Any suggestions?

My neighbor is flying one of Sterba's props on his 150hp clipped cub. If you have any issues with the pitch/diameter vs. RPM, I believe he offers one free re-pitch of the prop when you send it back. Something to keep in mind regarding ordering from someone outside the US.

I have a Hegy 70x62 on the wall in my hangar. My friend ran it on an O290-D2 powered experimental. Would sell cheap if its any help. Very good condition.

I flew Ed's props on my Sonerai and they are great. They may not "look" right on a Hatz but would certainly work. A wood Sensench might look more in character with the airplane.

The price difference between the Sterba and the Sensenich is considerable. An A&P here in the area tried to steer me away from the Sensenich. He claims they’re not worth the 2 grand+.

Thanks for the input guys. This thing’s starting to get close.

Culver makes great props and they look a little more period on a Hatz.

I talked to Danny he has a very nice prop and I would have purchased it if it would have worked on my 0-235.
