Sunglasses?

Can any of you guys recommend a decent pair of over the glasses sunglasses that work looking through a lightly tinted canopy. I have never really had an adequate pair. I tried some of the clip on type the big mart stores sell and it kind of gave a blotchy view through my canopy. I've just done a bit research but all the tint options just confuse me! Apparently polarized is not recommended?
