Looking to see if anyone has considered converting a Vans RV plane into a Biplane.

Was looking at several biplanes, and one I saw was basically a Midget Mustang with an extra wing tapped on top.

Questions I have:

1. Could the upperwing be a wet tank of say about 60 to 100 gallons? The wing would add a lot of weight, but it also adds lift? Does anyone know where the weight added and the lift provided cancel each other out?

2. How fast could an all metal biplane go?

3. Would you use a strut and attach thewing to the upper fuselage and use connectors on the outer wings? or would Brutons' Flying Wires be the ticket?

4. I like designing airplanes and have found a company that can help with the actual design and computer flight modeling and testing? Has anyone already done this?

5. Is there anyone else out there that would like to Build a Vans RV into a Biplane? The RV8 would make an awesome Biplane, or the RV7 built into a side by side biplane (ala hiperbipe). Is anyone already doing this?

Thanks in advance.
