Good day,

As a new Pitts owner and forum member I need some adviced from the old hands here.

My newly acquired Pitts S1S is a 1977 model with factory wings, aluminium leading edges and painted with 2k auto paint.

There are two cracks in the paint (but not all the way through some fabric showing) at the two main ribs either side of the spar splice box of the top wing leading edge.

Are these due to wings twisting or flexing up and down? Do these need major repair like stripping the fabric for inspection?

I would appreciate anyone's input.

Thanks,

Johan
