Gents:
I was advised by a mechanic to consider plumbing a bypass around the electric fuel pump so that the engine driven pump is not always pulling fuel throught the electric pump. I looked this week at a number a/c and never found one that did have the bypass.
I am aware of the need of a check valve near the engine driven pump in the event of diaphragm failure, but this isnt what he was talking about.
Any thoughts on the actual need to do this? Not sure it matters, but I am using a Facet Piper electric fuel pump.
