• The Biplane Forum is a large global active community of biplane builders, owners and pilots. From Pitts to Skybolts, to older barnstormers, all types are welcome. In addition to our active community, our content boasts exhaustive technical information which is often sought after for projects and maintenance. This information has accumulated over the 12+ years the forum has been in existence.

The Biplane Forum is a private community. Subscriptions are only $49.99/year or $6.99/month to gain access to this great community and unmatched source of information not found anywhere else on the web. We are also a great resource for non biplane users, since many GA aircraft are built the same way (fabric and tube construction). Annual membership also comes with two BiplaneForum.com decals.

just had the pleasure? of completing my first Medxpress online physical application. VERY highly recommend viewing the EAA webinar on this subject prior to starting the process. takes you by the hand thru the app and points out the land mines you could encounter. when you go on line to start to app, take note of the FAA help line phone number for any questions as you go.....some one actually answered the phone and was very helpful. one tip I can give....the electronic form follows the old paper form, so if you have copy of your last one you can review it for an idea of what will be asked on the electronic. gather all the info you will need (names, addresses, dates etc of visits to health professionals) before you start.......about 20 minutes into the app if you are still filling it out it will warn you that it will close in a few minutes if you don't hit the save button. no big deal, just hit save and go get another beer. not a big deal, just a bit disconcerting to see it pop up. one other thing....this is a whole different FAA site so if you have any other FAA passwords for sites such FAAST, they don't work. you get to choose another password and answer new security questions. I don't mean to make a big deal of it, it is actually not too bad...IF you have some knowledge of how it is going to work. p.s. the webinar also give some good advice on how to avoid the situation of being denied a medical so you can reserve the option of going LSA if needed.
