In addition to our active community, our content boasts exhaustive technical information which is often sought after for projects and maintenance. This information has accumulated over the 12+ years the forum has been in existence.

The Biplane Forum is a private community. Subscriptions are only $49.99/year or $6.99/month to gain access to this great community and unmatched source of information not found anywhere else on the web. We are also a great resource for non biplane users, since many GA aircraft are built the same way (fabric and tube construction). Annual membership also comes with two BiplaneForum.com decals.

A friend at my airport just bought an EAA Bipe down in FL and I'll be flying it home for him. Never flown a biplane before but have about 380 hrs tailwheel ('04 - '08 ) with the majority of that in a Mustang II. I'll be getting some Champ time to get proficient with the third wheel in back before heading down, but would like any information you can give me on the model before I head down.

My plan now is to get down to FL at 0930 on the 25th and get familiar with the plane. I'm plan to do a bit of taxiing in it and talk to the current owner quite a bit before going up a flying it. There appears to be a grass strip at the field, so I'll probably try that first (unless current owner advises against). Now I open the hydrant for your recommendations and information....

Thanks in advance!

Chad

By the way, I should have my EAA Bipe flying before the end of the year and figure this will be a plus.
