My Haigh has a 12 degree bend. When the AS1 is in 3-point my longerons are at a 14+ degree angle. Easy to get in - difficult to get out In order to change this angle to a more comfortable 12 degrees I would need to bend the Haigh to 24 degrees which would raise the tail about 5" and require an extension of the tail post.
A question to the metallurgists on the forum - - can I bend the Haigh this much without weakening it at the bend and - - if bending is possible - - any suggestions on keeping the shaft straight on the bend plane with only one 3/8" dia. bolt hole to work with ?
Thank you for your thoughts as always
