How do you figure out the size a person would need? I wear a 7-1/4, I believe that is not a large but can't confirm it. Also has it been modified for civilian aviation electronics?

That's a great deal on a helmet. It's hard to tell you the sizes I wear a HGU-84/p (helicopter helmet) and its a large. I upgraded the ear cups and liner with Oregon Aero Hush kit and Zeta Liner super comfy.

A question. A retired USAF friend discovered that his USAF helmet will not fit in his S-1T. He told me about doing a push and getting his helmet somehow wedged into the curve of the canopy so that he could not turn his head. Since I fly with a slimmer Bonehead helmet and have never owned an HGU, I was surprised to hear this. Anyone else run into this sort of issue?

Thanks,

Wes

Well who ever got this helmet, good luck, I was very early in on it but the helmet was just to large! Thank you Dennis for your replies and info. Still bummed out though!
